Georgian Porcelain Robin by Josefs Originals
This is a rare Georgian Porcelain robin from Josefs Originals. It is my understanding that Josefs did not produce a great number of bird and animal figurines. This bird is a great example of Josefs artistry. It is lovely with beautiful intricate detail. The feathering looks very natural. The robin is perched on an arched branch that has clusters of green leaves and pink flowers. A petal on one of the flowers is missing but it's hardly noticeable. The robin is peering down as if it has spotted a tasty looking worm. The grass porcelain base is shades of green. The whole figurine is mounted on a wooden base and stands about 6" tall. On the bottom of the wooden base is a gold label. The label states that it is a Georgian Porcelain by Josefs Originals. The figurine is not numbered.

Goebel Bluebird CV74- Stylized Bee
This plump little Goebel bluebird CV74 with a Stylized Bee is typical of the quality work coming from the Goebel factory during the 1972-1979 period. This is considered the TM-5 era in Goebel and Hummel figurines. In 1977 the Goebel Collector's Club was initiated. It later became the model for other collector's clubs. This little bird looks like a quiality piece of china. It appears to be in good condition. There does appear to be a small flea bite on the underside of the tail where a fleck of porcelain the size of a pin head may be missing and was touched up by paint. You would never see it unless you turned it upside down. It is marked on the bottom CV74 and then beneath the hole is the Goebel name with the Stylized Bee above it and to the left, under the name is W Germany. It's about 3 1/2" long by 2 1/2" tall.

LEFTON LITTLE BOY WITH PUPPIES #03843 LEFTON LITTLE BOY WITH PUPPIES #03843
This is a sweet figurine. It reminds me of my grandson and his love of small animals, especially puppies. If your heart strings have ever been tugged at when you've observed a child with a puppy, you'll appreciate this little 5" tall Lefton figurine. The boy is holding a puppy in each arm and his expressive questioning eyes are asking, "Can't I please keep both of them"? How could anyone resist that face. The underside of the base is signed in green with the Lefton crown mark and number. The underside of the base also carries the lines, "One can never be alone with a friend to call your own". The figurine is found in Loretta DeLozier's 1999 price guide for $32.00. The figurine has been repaired. The head has been reglued. The break was clean and there are no missing pieces. It is hard to detect the repair. The piece is being offered for less because of this repair.

Lefton Girl In White With Sponge Gold #K8274
This Lefton girl #K8274 in white with sponge gold is identical to the figurine #8572 pictured in Loretta DeLozier's Lefton China Book III. The detailing of this young lady is exquisite. I believe her face is even prettier than the one pictured in the reference book. The base of the figurine is marked with the Lefton gold crown with blue accent and Lefton China is printed in an arc over the crown with Hand Painted in script arranged in a semi-circle under the crown. The trademark of this piece dates it to between 1946-1950. The figurine is in very good shape for its age with no cracks or crazing. However, there is a tip missing from one of the petals on the rose perched on the front of the hat. It is so unnoticeable that it escaped my detection until just recently. It definitely does not detract from such a rare old piece. It is being priced well below book value.

SPAGHETTI CAT WITH JEWEL EYES SPAGHETTI CAT WITH JEWELS EYES
This is a white spaghetti cat figurine. She is a real darling with her little spaghetti frou-frou cheek hair, top knot and leg pantaloons. She has a sweet smile with her little red tongue showing within her mouth. She looks as though she should have a name such as FiFi, GiGi, Simone or some other French name. I'm not sure who produced this piece but it is well done, maybe Kreiss or Thames? There is a number on the bottom of the figurine 52/290 but no label. This is a fairly old piece. I'd place it in the 40's or 50's. There's some fine crazing lines in the body and head of the piece which just helps to authenticate its age. These lines are so fine that they are unnoticeable except on very close inspection. She is about 2 1/2 inches long by 3 inches tall
